Adding another unexpected role to his multifaceted career, comedian Will Ferrell showcased his DJ skills during his son’s fraternity party at the University of Southern California (USC). The 56-year-old Elf star was seen behind the turntables at the university event on Saturday, delivering a performance as memorable as his film roles.

The party-goers were treated to a mix of legendary tracks, including Jay-Z and Kanye West’s hit song N****s In Paris and Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger, sending hundreds of university students into a frenzy. Interestingly, the Jay Z and Kanye West track incorporates a dialogue snippet from Ferrell’s 2007 film Blades of Glory, adding a personal touch to the actor’s DJ set.

Ferrell didn’t just play songs; he embodied the spirit of the party. The Step Brothers star was seen vibing along to the music behind the DJ decks, complete with black headphones, a backward cap, sunglasses, and a black USC jacket. It was clear that he was not only there as a parent but also as an entertainer.

His elder son Magnus Ferrell is currently studying in his second year at USC. The institution holds special significance for Ferrell himself who graduated from there in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in sports information. His love for USC is evident in his contributions over time. In 2017, he delivered a memorable commencement speech to USC graduates and also funded the university’s first full scholarship for their women’s soccer team.

The fraternity party took place ahead of an American football game between USC and the University of Arizona Wildcats. Apart from Magnus, Will Ferrell and his wife Viveca Paulin are parents to two more sons – 16-year-old Mattias and 13-year-old Axel. Clearly, Ferrell’s commitment to family is as strong as his dedication to entertainment, making him not just a versatile actor but also a devoted father.
