The countdown has begun for the much-anticipated Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS Qatar 2023), set to take place in Qatar. The prestigious event, a highlight of the Qatari calendar, will host 30 top automotive brands along with an array of activations and events.

Making its debut outside Switzerland, GIMS Qatar 2023 is all set to revolutionize the motor show landscape in the Middle East. The event is a testament to the prestige and longevity of GIMS, one of the world’s oldest automotive events, which dates back to 1905. Traditionally held in Geneva, Switzerland, the upcoming edition marks its first-ever journey beyond its home country.

GIMS Qatar 2023 offers more than just a spectacle for car enthusiasts; it encourages innovative conversations through forums and discussions integral to the event. It serves as a melting pot for companies, consumers, industry leaders, journalists, and major stakeholders.

The show anticipates attracting at least 200,000 visitors and 1,000 journalists and will be hosted at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC) from October 5 to October 14, 2023.

This inaugural event in Qatar pays tribute to the pioneering spirit of motoring history while offering an immersive look into its future. The exhibition space at DECC, covering over 10,000 sqm, will host a plethora of renowned brands including Toyota, Lexus, Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, KIA, Audi, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Vinfast, Chery and more. GIMS Qatar will showcase the latest industry innovations with over 10 global premieres and more than 20 regional premieres.

Beyond the main exhibition are four immersive experiences across prominent tourism destinations in Qatar. These include a “Future Design Forum” at the National Museum of Qatar, thrilling off-road adventures at Sealine, exhilarating ride-and-drive experiences at the Lusail International Circuit and a grand parade of automotive excellence along the iconic Lusail Boulevard.

Tickets for GIMS Qatar are available on the Virgin Megastore website. The event is free on weekdays and costs QAR 50 on weekends. The Classics Gallery is accessible with a GIMS Qatar 2023 main exhibition ticket.

For thrill-seekers, GIMS Qatar 2023 offers off-road adventures set amidst the desert sand dunes of Qatar.
